Local department store celebrates a healthy future.

Kohl’s Department Store Associates at Memorial’s 2006 NICU Reunion. As part of the celebration, Kohl’s donated more than $60,000 to support health education for children in our community.

More than 400 families visited HealthWorks! Kids’ Museum (HW!) to celebrate the health and happiness of their children. As “graduates” of Memorial’s Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU), these families have a lot to be thankful for.

Year after year, families come back to the NICU reunion to catch up with old friends and express their gratitude to the staff who helped their children when they needed it the most. This year, the reunion coincided with the kick off of Kohl’s Fitness Blitz, a special HW! fitness program that helps encourage children to get up and get moving!

As part of the Kohl’s Cares for Kids program, four area Kohl’s stores brought 25 volunteers and a check for more than $60,000 to benefit programs that promote the health and well-being of children in our community through the innovative education style of HW!
