Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Promoting Health Through Education and Personal Interaction
Memorial Hospital of South Bend Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a wellness program that teaches people with chronic lung disease about their disease process and helps to condition them physically.

Pulmonary rehabiliatation has many benefits. You will:

  • Learn about your disease process.
  • Learn techniques to help you participate more fully in daily activities.
  • Learn about disease management.
  • Recondition your muscles for increased endurance and strength.

Services available to you through the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program include:

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) instruction.
  • Asthma instruction.
  • Restrictive disease instruction.
  • A tailored exercise program.
  • Diet instruction.

Services are performed by registered professionals:
Registered respiratory therapists and dietitians (with referral from Pulmonary Rehabilitation)

Pulmonary rehabilitation is affordable
