Pediatric Patient Care Center
Welcome to the Pediatric Patient Care Center at Memorial Children’s Hospital. Children with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses from eighteen referral hospitals in eleven counties in Southwestern Michigan and northern Indiana are cared for in the Pediatric Patient Care Center. A twenty bed general pediatric unit provides services to children with a variety medical and surgical diagnoses. The team of people available to care for your child includes pediatric hospitalists, registered nurses, Child Life Specialists, pediatric diabetic educator, pediatric dietitians, social worker, respiratory therapists, clinical nurse specialists, pastoral care, and pediatric specialists in physical therapy.
Memorial Children’s Hospital operates a Pediatric Emergency Transport Service capable of both ground and air transportation services for children who are acutely ill or injured. Children requiring intensive care are placed the nine bed pediatric intensive care unit staffed by board certified pediatric intensivists.
Open visitation 24/7 for parents/guardians with over night accommodations available at the bedside or at the Ronald McDonald Family Room. All other visitors coordinate visits with parents.
